I finally finished 2 Guitars! Built by me!

Here's the finished product (some tweaking is needed for both....) of the guitars that I have been working on!

I have also built (they are not totally finsihed, but almost) two guitars for myself.. Each was built out of solid, scrap hard woods that I purchased CHEAP at the Rebuilding Center in Portland Oregon. There is a 6 string electric (hollow body) and a 12 String acoustic.

I bought the body of this guitar off of eBay. It had been stripped, and lightly sanded. I built a neck for it out of solid Oak Red Wood also purchased at the Rebuilding Center in Portland. 

Wood is another medium that I enjoy working with... these are several guitars that I have refinished over the last 6 months.

I find guitars at local thrift shops... they are all found in pretty poor shape. Most have dents, dings or scratches and some... well, some are not even recognizable once I get done with them! I resell these on eBay (for the moment). I enjoy the fact that I can put art work into a guitar and restore a guitar, that then becomes a part of anothers art work... if that makes sense...I also enjoy carving in other wood items.. such as wood vases and of course, gun handles and rifle stocks.
